istock 1143239245Being a Mom is tough work. You don’t have to tell that the woman in the candy aisle at Harris Teeter watching with a certain amount of detached disdain as her two-year-old rolls about on the floor in full tantrum mode after being denied the demanded box of Sour Patch Kids.

And it’s tough on your body, as if any Mom needs to hear that.

That’s why this September at Providence Plastic Surgery & Skin Center, we’re all about Moms from Charlotte and the world over.

We have two events just for Moms this month. On Saturday, September 12, we’re having our “Mom’s Birthday Bash,” complete with special events, special pricing, and the like.

Then on Wednesday, September 23 from 9 a.m. to noon, it’s our “Mom’s Morning Out” funfest. We’ll have specials on Botox and our popular HydraFacial MD® all morning, meant to put that glow back in a tired Mom’s face, plus maybe erase some crow’s feet at the same time!

Since the HydraFacial MD® is a part of Mom’s Morning Out, here’s some more information about this popular relatively new treatment.

What is HydraFacial MD®?

The HydraFacial MD® treatment is a “hydradermabrasion” of sorts. That’s a term you’ve probably never heard, but it combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection simultaneously. The treatment results in clearer, healthier skin without any discomfort, downtime, or recovery.

How is the HydraFacial MD treatment done?

HydraFacial MD® is four-step process that cleanses, evenly exfoliates, and extracts impurities and dead skin cells while at the same time replenishing vital nutrients including antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The treatment is delivered through a proprietary wand that combines a gentle rotating brush with suction pressure.

  • Step 1 — Vortex-Exfoliation

We attach the first head that uses Activ-4 serum and suction to remove surface dead skin cells and open and clear pores. This uncovers the brighter, healthier skin beneath.

  • Step 2 — Vortex-Peel

In step 2, through the wand we apply Glysal serum, which consists of a mixture of glycolic and salicylic acids, the ingredients used for light peels. But this peel won’t have the usual post-peel scaling.

  • Step 3 — Vortex-Extraction

In step 3, the wand applies patented, painless vortex-suction that cleans out pores with the help of Beta-HD serum.

  • Step 4 — Vortex-Fusion

To your thoroughly cleaned and exfoliated skin, in step 4 we apply one of four Antiox+ serums (see below) through the wand. This serum application is the final step of the HydraFacial and replenishes your skin with antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid.

HydraFacials take only around 30 minutes.
